In writing, on purpose

Five promises.
Including the ones that cost us money.

An advisor is only as good as what it’s willing to say against its own interest. Hold us to these.

1

No one can buy our answer.

Shopwise is not sponsored by any marketplace, any brand, any platform. No ads, no paid placement, no “featured” products. Ever. Search engines and shopping apps show you what someone paid to show you; we work for exactly one person in the conversation: you.

2

We will tell you not to buy. Or to wait.

If nothing genuinely fits your need or budget, we say so. If the one you own is fine, we say that too. And when the sale is days away and prices in that class have genuinely dropped before, we tell you to hold on, even though we earn nothing when you wait. Forecasts come from tracked price history, never thin air.

3

Every pick carries its catch.

There is no perfect product. Every recommendation includes the one thing to know: the weakness, the scam to refuse, the fine print. If we’re uncertain about something, you’ll read the words “we’re not sure”.

4

Commission never touches the ranking.

We earn a small affiliate commission on some purchases. It’s disclosed inside the recommendation itself, not buried in fine print. The ranking is computed before any link is attached. That’s the whole business model, and it only works if you can trust the pick.

5

Your memory belongs to you.

We remember what helps us advise you: your city, your budget style, your past picks. Nothing is sold, shared, or used to target ads. Ask what we know and we’ll show you. Ask us to forget and we will, within seven days.

These promises are enforced inside the product itself. Automated honesty checks run on every reply before you see it. If we ever break one, tell us at founder@shopwise.live. We’ll treat it as our most serious kind of bug.
