Here’s what happens between your question and one honest answer, told the way we’d tell a friend. The details are our problem, not yours.
Not keywords. Situations. “AC for my parents’ bedroom in Indore, they’re sensitive to noise” carries a city, a climate, a room, a relationship, and a priority, and Shopwise catches all five. In English, Hindi, Hinglish, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada or Bengali. Typed or spoken. Then it asks the two or three questions that genuinely change the answer, and no more.
For every category we launch, we build what we call an expert brain: the accumulated judgment of how that category really works in India. Which specs matter and which are marketing. Which brands truly service Tier-2 cities. What breaks in year three. When prices genuinely drop. It’s the homework your most obsessive friend would do, done once, kept current, and applied to you.
Every product that could fit gets weighed across many dimensions at once: performance, reliability, running cost at your city’s rates, service reach where you live, value against current prices. And the weighing bends to you. Say quietness matters, and quietness moves the math. The ranking is mathematics, not mood. And never, ever sponsorship.
Before anything reaches you, the answer has to survive our honesty checks. A claim it can’t back gets rewritten or removed. A weakness in our own pick gets stated, every time. If waiting three days for a sale is the better move, we say wait, even though we earn nothing when you do. And when we’re not sure, you’ll read the words “we’re not sure”.
